​​NexGen Manufacturing & Supply was started in 2018.

Owner and CEO, Carl Baxendale has known oil and gas his entire life. He is the third generation of the Baxendale family to have a career in the industry, following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather.

​​Carl’s first experience in the industry at the age of 6, was sweeping floors and cleaning out metal chips from the machines at his dad’s manufacturing and supply store, Rig-Up Supply. It was here that his curiosity for the industry began. He was fascinated with hustle and bustle, the brotherhood that comes along with working in the oil and gas industry. Once he was old enough, he began working summers at Rig-Up Supply with his dad.

​​After high school Carl attended college at OCCC and OU. By this point, Rig-Up Supply had been bought out by L.E. Jones and his dad took the position as the GM of Henderson Supply working for L.E. Jones. Carl also began working for Henderson Supply with his dad and continued to do so throughout his high school and college years. Carl had the privilege of watching his dad turn a single location oilfield supply store into a successful multi-location business that at one point was responsible for importing and distributing more imported mud pumps than any other company in the United States.

​​Carl’s summers as a shop hand eventually became a full-time sales position with Henderson Supply at their Haslet, Texas location in 2008. He was calling on and selling directly to drilling rigs in this position. This is where he had the opportunity to gain knowledge of how drilling rigs operated from top to bottom and understand the full mechanics of the rig parts he was selling.

​​After a couple years this journey brought him back to Oklahoma where he would become the manager of the Oklahoma City branch for Henderson Supply. Not only did this location handle parts sales, but this is where Henderson Supply’s machine shop was located. They had a full array of manual lathe’s, vertical mills, welding equipment, etc. This role was key in developing relationships with customers, his managerial and team building skills while also providing knowledge of the financial side of the business. It also allowed him to study, learn, and see a whole new side of the oil and gas industry, the manufacturing sector.

​​In 2018, armed with all this knowledge, Carl decided to take a leap of faith and start his own company. NexGen Manufacturing & Supply is a customer service-oriented business, focused on providing their customers with a quick and efficient experience. With customers all over the United States along with several other countries, NexGen’s goal is always to provide the right product at the best price without sacrificing quality.
